Christina Shaw
Holden, Massachusetts – Class of 2014
First Delegate National Legislative Coordinator
The first delegate is analogous to the chapter’s president and helps guide the board throughout the year to keep the group on track and ensure continuity. The first delegate along with one of the second delegates serve as UConn ASDA’s voting members in the national House of Delegates. Chrissy enjoys running, cooking, spending time with her niece and nephews, and visiting D.C.
Elizabeth Kaminsky
Wayland, Massachusetts – Class of 2014
Second Delegate
Second delegates serve our board by handling secretarial duties, finances, and membership remittances. They are responsible for a lot of the “behind the scenes” happenings that are essential for our chapter’s success. Liz enjoys baking, being outdoors, and going to the beach.
Joseph Whitney
Marlborough, Massachusetts – Class of 2015
2nd Delegate
Second delegates serve our board by handling secretarial duties, finances, and membership remittances. They are responsible for a lot of the “behind the scenes” happenings that are essential for our chapter’s success. Joe likes to go running, watch good movies, try new recipes, and relax with friends.

Andrew enjoys playing the guitar, singing, songwriting, reading, and watching movies.
Stefanie Aquilina
Jericho, New York – Class of 2014
Community Service Chair
Community service chairs organize our service events such as: the Hartford marathon, where we run annually for a charity, and Give Kids a Smile Day, offering oral hygiene instruction for Hartford children. When she’s not studying, you’ll likely find Stefanie practicing her down dog or baking something chocolatey in her kitchen. She tries to keep those activities separate – down dog near the oven can be risky.

Community Service Chair
Community service chairs organize our service events such as: the Hartford marathon, where we run annually for a charity, and Give Kids a Smile Day, offering oral hygiene instruction for Hartford children. Alison enjoys yoga, running, and cooking.

Fundraising Committee
The fundraising committee is critical to the functioning of our group as they help raise money to fund our fabulous events through different functions such as the scrub sale and our holiday toothbrush sale. They also organize the UConn Dental Expo every spring. Emily enjoys hanging out with family and friends, working out, traveling, baking, and reading in her free time.

Fundraising Committee
The fundraising committee is critical to the functioning of our group as they help raise money to fund our fabulous events through different functions such as the scrub sale and our holiday toothbrush sale. They also organize the UConn Dental Expo every spring. Allison enjoys skiing, NPR podcasts, yoga, and redoing operative practicals. With respect to her future, she toys with joining the armed forces or moving westward (or both).

They also organize the UConn Dental Expo every spring. Melissa likes to spend time with friends and family, travel, read, and do outdoor activities like golfing, running, kayaking and hiking.

Legislative liaisons are experts on the current dental issues on the state and national level. These members are responsible for our ADPAC chapter, organizing our annual legislative day, as well as leading a team at National Lobby Day. Viviane enjoys traveling, shopping, dancing, skiing, and spending time with friends.
Eric Smith
Grimsby, Ontario, Canada – Class of 2015
Legislative Liason
Legislative liaisons are experts on the current dental issues on the state and national level. These members are responsible for our ADPAC chapter, organizing our annual legislative day, as well as leading a team at National Lobby Day. Eric is a well-practiced jazz guitarist, enjoys skiing, sailing, and running, and occasionally breaks out in song with other members of his class and the ASDA board.

Communications Chair and Coordinator
Communication chair takes on a multitude of roles to get board information out to students. They help to maintain our ASDA Facebook page as well as schedule blog posts for our site. These members also serve as the photographers for all of our events. Andrew enjoys biking, swimming, sea kayaking the coast of Maine, and learning to cook new things.

Communications Chair and Website Manager
Communication chairs take on a multitude of roles to manage our multimedia. They serve as Co-Editor-In-Chiefs of our publication, “In The Loupe.” These members also serve as the photographers for all of our events and they are responsible for the creation and maintenance of our website. Tyler enjoys piano, being outside, and spending time with his wife and two boys.

Lunch and Learn Coordinator
Lunch and learn coordinators help plan and coordinate different educational speakers to present from 12-1 pm, where lunch is provided. The coordinators must communicate with the speakers, order and arrange food delivery, and ensure the events all run smoothly. Kris enjoys skiing, biking, running, and cooking.
Renee Rubenstein
North Haven, Connecticut – Class of 2015
Lunch and Learn Coordinator
Lunch and learn coordinators help plan and coordinate different educational speakers to present from 12-1 pm, where lunch is provided. The coordinators must communicate with the speakers, order and arrange food delivery, and ensure the events all run smoothly. Renee enjoys being with family and friends, listening to music, traveling, reading, and following sports, especially the Boston Celtics.

Social chairs are responsible for planning ASDA’s purely fun events such as trivia nights, Oktoberfest, the holiday party, and the end of the year BBQ. Mike like to play soccer, volleyball, go skiing…pretty much anything outside!

MaryKate Conboy

Second Year Representative
Second year representatives are responsible for the smooth transition of first years into dental school. They organize events such as Wax & Relax, Chill & Drill, and Think & Drink. MaryKate enjoys spending time with family and friends, and also enjoys cheering on the fighting Irish of Notre Dame any chance she can. She also enjoys running in West Hartford, playing intramural sports, and baking sweet treats.
