Thanks everyone for coming out to the 2012 District 1 Social Event at Mohegan Sun. We had a great turnout with over 45 people showing up to the event! We learned, we laughed, and some of us cried (all part of the casino experience!) and overall…we had a blast! We had three speakers at the event: Dr. Urillo and Jesse Dennehy from the Connecticut State Dental Association, Diane Peterson from Colgate, and Austin Holler from Medical Protective.
This event was created so that students from all four schools in District 1 (UConn, Boston University, Tufts, and Harvard) would have the opportunity to meet one another and take a much needed break from dental school! The presentations contained material that would be applicable to all dental students such as outside dental resources, the CSDA student dental online connection, and the different types of malpractice insurance plans. Our students had a great time dancing, socializing, and dining together at the Mohegan Sun Resort. Here are some comments from some of our UCONN ASDA members:
